Botox HELP

Postby [email protected] » 05 Jul 2016, 13:42

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum so I am hoping you all can shed some light on my anal fissure/botox injection. I previously had diverticulitis so in April I had a colon resection. Everything was going good then the pain started. Low and behold an anal fissure. CRS said for it to heal I needed botox . I had the Botox surgery last Tues. June 28. After the third day the pain started. I stopped the pain medication because of constipation. My first BM was excruciating. Since then I take Miralax and Colace. From what I read I should be feeling better but I'm NOT. I still feel that I have a goose egg between my legs. I have still ginger after my BM too. I feel so disgusted..I thought 1 week in I would feel better. Don't go back to surgeon until next week. Any suggestions? I see people in the forum use coconut oil. What brand is suggested? Any help would be appreciated.....Down in the dumps..

Hi carol, I have replied to your post on the Botox diary,
Are you in the UK or US as I use hypercal and sudocrem for the stinging which I find helps me more than the coconut, as everyone is different try and see what works best for you.
It's early days for Botox if you read mine n HTD diaries you will see by day 7 neither of us was very happy.
Please don't let this get you down, it does get better...if I manage only one BM a day I can go swimming and to the gym with just a little discomfort...on day 7 that seemed like I would never do it again.

Your welcome,
The first one is a homeopathic blend so not sure
The sudocrem is a nappy cream. But they seem to help with the stinging and burning

I had botox and it did heal my very nasty fissure. But it took a few weeks before I started feeling better. Hang in there!
fissure May 2014
nitro, diltiazem
botox July
fistula surgery, piece of skin tag removed Oct
fissure declared healed Dec
currently have burning/pain-told it is nerve pain
physical therapy, sitz baths, valium suppositories
hoping I am healing
