Had a day with no blood yesterday but today it's back with a vengeance.
I just don't understand why it's ok one day and then bad again that next?

Makes me nervous to even go for Bm.

I know it happens. The fine thing is that you hsve days without blood.... as you know this means the wound is healing. And as you imagine the healing in this stage is not stablr. So its normal thst on some days that you had eaten something... or that the softener did not work 100% or tha you put some more pressure etc etc a small breaking csn occur.

Be patient you are near the end! It s healing thats the important thing.... and the healing eventually is going to be stabilised.

Dont worry you r doing great and am happy for you give it some tiny morebpatient.

Wish u exprees recovery

Cheers Chris. It's just so depressing to see the blood every morning. Every day I hope it's done with, only to be disappointed. Wonder if I'll ever get over the panic of misdiagnosis or that I'm wasting time in finding the real cause.

No J,

I am telling you once more that if you have (as you said so) days (BM) without blood some times that means its healing and if its healing its 100%;we are talkin for nusty but just a fissure and nothing else.

Ok, loud and clear. I'm stop panicking and just think of it as an annoying little cut. It'll heal eventually. Thanks for your support. J

It does seem to be bleeding more. Confusing thing is I didn't bleed at all when pressing a hard bm? It only bleeds when soft. Wondered if the soft ones tend to pass toward the back, while the larger ones force the sphincter to open more evenly?

Update: sorry for the info but just had Bm and no blood. Was very soft. I haven't tried stool softening, just drinking loads and eating fruit and veg doesn't seem to help. Maybe that's my next go. Can you recommend anything.

I don get it: bleeding when bm is soft! It can be though. I know people that have reopened healed frissures because of very soft (watersoft) bm.

I do use a lot softener..... I don know where you are but here in Cyprus there is a lactulose syrop called "Duphalac". Lactulose isnt digested so it goes down carryng humidity an makes it very soft. You will try and see how much you need. I go 3 time daily and 20ml its fine. After my surgery I had more because I needed it to be very soft due to the stiches.
