Been blood free since last Thursday, and it is great to not be faced by a bowl full of blood each morning.

When I bleed I get no pain. None at all. Soon as I've cleaned up I can go through the day as it all was normal. Problem is, when I don't bleed, that's when I get pain. Right at the back of my rectum, a painful, small but tender lump. Only the size of a small pea, but boy it hurts. Makes my whole left leg feel sore too.

Over tried anti inflammatory drugs, pile cream, the rectogesic I was given, all to no effect.

How can the bleeding result in no pain, but be a real pain I'm the ass when there's no blood?

Got an appointment with my specialist on Thurs. Wonder if I'll get something finally answered?

I think it makes sense.... bleed no pain no bleed pain. I had it when I used to have hemos. When through the BM the hemos broke and bleeded the pressure was eliminated and I had no pain. When they remain hard the pressure was getting stronger and had pain.

Just back from the hospital. The specialist seems to think I have a chronic fissure, around half an centimetre inside. He tried to do an internal examination but it was just too painful. Next step is to go into hospital for a day and have an examination under general anaesthetic. Can't say I'm looking forward to that.

Apparently the MRI and sigmoidoscopy results were all normal.

Been in lots of pain this week. No idea how it's less painful when I bleed than when I don't bleed.

The doc did ask if I had any questions but I never thought to ask what the options could be depending on their findings. My mum seems to think it'll be stitches, but I don't know about that.

Hopefully I'll get some answers soon.

Firts of all you dont have anything bad... and thats great news. Its just a wound in the as. Stiches? Now there are more modern solutions like botox injection.... and of course the old surgery that relaxes the synfictir.

But I would focus first in healing with natural things.... and drugs and then considering more agressive procedures.

Ha, I assume you ask that due to me mentioning my mum. I'm in mid 40s, in that UK. My mum has had lots of health issues so we're all very open about our own. We hope that helps her realise she's not alone.

The more I think about what the doc told me yesterday, the more it all adds up. Way back when, a doc told me the fissure causes the muscles around it to spasm, which causes pain and also for the tear not to heal. The randomness of when the pain hits, and which locations exactly, makes me wonder if the pain I get is spasms. I presume that'll be it.

I told you that in 2014 had a hemo surgery.... a terrible one... been at home 2 months with pain and bleeding day after day. Twice every 24 hours went to the first.aid for a pain killer injection. Yes that it was spasms of the sphinctir. The doc explained thats a circle: pain - spasms- spams -pain.... I thoght tha it was never going to end but it deed. Softeners and patience.... keeping me calm not to panic... because I know seeing tha red blood ita panicking!

Anyway now am going it through again with the fissure I got end of August... it takes time... but now I am at the end. Some weeks now no pain and 2 weeks no blood though on Sunday I had a set back..... blood again... I lost temper... but that was it. Since then had 3 BM and nothing .... everything it ok. But I ll keep my softener till the end of the month. And I havent told you the aspirin I take deu to my heart attack I had 15 years ago (now am 59) I didnt took it since sunday. Have to start tomorow again because heart doc says so... 5 days without it its not advisible!

The worst of course is been suspicius that you have something bad.... thats killing... thats why I said you yesterday after the docs diagnosis... " it just a fissure... painfull but its just a wound!" And now we know that and thats all to it..... no panic and no wiered thoughts.....

Have a nice day
Chris

I'm into my 11th day blood free, and having a pill and rectogesic free day too. So far, so good.

Got to admit, your story of months of pain is scary. I'm wondering about whether to even turn up for my exploratory procedure or not.

Have patience.... everything its going well as you said.

Give it some time.... its only a wound and eventually it will heal.

Have you heart of cicardine? Its a medication with healuric acid it repairs wounds... the doc gave it to me today to speed my healing up

Hey, how's your healing going? Did the new cream work?
I had my pre op this week. Got to admit, I'm terrified. The thought of the anaesthetic scares me so much. I feel like I'm to be put to death by lethal injection!

Got to be positive and hope that answers can come from the short term wooziness.
