Hems and fissure

Postby Broken bum hole » 20 Jan 2017, 06:10

Hi people!
Please can someone give me some advice.
I was given diltiazem2% around 10 days ago which is helping a little. I am running low so my doctor gave me a script for some more but there isn't a pharmacy within 20 miles that have it in stock. They all say it's a specialist cream and can take up to 6 days to receive. Tried to call my specialist but he's now away for the next 5 days. Don't really no what to do for the best now. My doctor won't offer an alternative so I'm thinking not eating for a few days will help. I know this is wrong as not eating enough caused my problems in the first place.
Does anyone no what's the best plan to get me through? Is there a over counter cream that could help? Just don't want to be back to how it was. I've got fibregel which I am supposed to take 2 a day but have cut back to 1 a day as shitting bricks is not my favourite. Any advice please!!!!

Try taking some Colace (docusate sodium) it will keep your stools soft and easy to pass and it wont agitate the fissure and hems as much. And drink plenty of water. That should help significantly while you are waiting for your cream. The key is to keep your stools as soft as possible, even after you feel that the symptoms have gone. To be on the safe side, at least two months after your symptoms end. You want to take all measures to not make it become chronic. Colace (2 capsules) before you go to bed, and stay hydrated!

Thank you for the advice.
Late yesterday I was given the ointment version instead of the cream and told it's the same. Not convinced but time will tell
