Hi, so I got a cancellation appointment today for my tests to be done, so the balloon muscle test is all done! She said that I have a high anul tone, most people start at 60-120 but mine starts at 120 any ideas what that means lol

Hi Hun,
That's what mine starts at 120 my CRS said that's a very high tone to start at, which is why when it's in spasm nothing can get up or down and the pain is just agony....this reading can just be your natural tone or due to high levels of cortisol. I'm sure once you have the LIS you should go down a fair bit

Hey, oh I'm so glad it's not just me then lol so does that mean that this could be why I just won't heal? I really hope so and that the LIS will be an end to this x

Yes that will be the reason you can't heal Hun as your internal sphincter is just too tight even in its relaxed state to allow enough blood flow for healing to take place. Also if you have to strain or pass a large motion it is unable to relax enough to stop any tears that may happen. I'm sure a few weeks after LIS you will feel completely back to normal

I know exactly what you mean Hun...I remember thinking if this is normal tone I will cry...I think we know that's there is no way we have a normal tone but it's the fear that if it was there would be no way we would get the op lol
