Long time sufferers pls share your experience

Postby SurvivorX » 27 Jan 2017, 11:02

Long time sufferers pls share your experience.
Does it get better with time?
Myself Ive been suffering for 3 years now and it doesnt get better at all - I had a succesful LIS but chronic pain is after me each and ever day.

Hey SurvivorX, hope you are doing better since your last post! Yours sounds like a terrible and painful journey. So sorry that you suffered so much all this time.
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy

Is your fissure still active because LIS is not the last option there are other things to try if your not healed.
I had LIS 5 months ago and am mostly pain free I have bad days but that's linked to others issues and after multiple BMs my pain and spasms come back.
Hope you can get to see a CRS as no one should have to be in pain

Thank you for the kind words guys.
Important thing is to keep fighting everyday. For a couple of times I almost gave up my wife and baby boy kept me going.
I heard that there are people suffering from this pain for 10 or more years and although my fissure is not active pain is coming from the damaged nerves after 6 operations. I really hope and pray for me to get through this and for all of you too.

Did you go through 6 LIS operations? In that case no wonder you are so miserable! Have you tried gabapentin for the nerve pain? Some people on this forum have had a good reduction in pain after using it.
