I really hope so! I'm just waiting on my consultant to see the results now and then he said he will fit me in, so really hoping it will be in march, I'm going away in September for a month do you think I will still be on to go even if I had it done in April? How are you doing Hun? X

Hopefully they get you in quick Hun,
Oh yes def you will be back to normal by September....I'm as good now (when colon behaves) as I was before my fissure and I'm 13 weeks post LIS. Yes I still have a bit of discomfort even with a good BM but it's hardly noticeable and even my bad days can be managed.
I'm pretty certain that as you don't have my other issues that by September you will be totally back to your old self and more than ready to enjoy your holiday to the full.

Nope not much balance for me lol....but then I have tried for over 20 years now with different diets and meds....not much works and the stronger meds that do work my liver can't tolerate....but hey I'm used to that now and it was only the spasms from the fissure that were driving me insane, and thankfully the gabapentine seems to put the lid on those when I have bad days.

Bless you! How much gabapentin are you on? I'm still on it but on a low dose but I do wonder if I came off how much more pain I would be in! X

That's brilliant! I cant wait to be off all painkillers and stop worrying about what to eat all the time! Would love to be able to go out to eat without having a panic attack lol

So had my surgery yesterday, they put a local anaesthetic in to get me through the evening which was lovely until early hours of the morning when it wore of and the pain started! I have been in a lot of pain since, have had a couple of baths and tried ice but neither helping, doctor perscribed me some morphine this afternoon which is taking the edge of the pain but also making me feel sick. Have tried eating a little but so worried about my first bm as I can't imagine going when it hurts this much, so far I'm wishing I didn't have it done but hopefully the pain will settle and I can sleep and feel a bit better about it.
