I will survive this!

Chronicling my AF journey, I have to write this down to stay sane.

First BM after surgery yesterday. It wasn't bad. I had manageable pain from the incision site, but the poop wasn't hard, and it wasn't a bloody mess. I had a BM again today, and it didn't hurt as much as the one yesterday. I'm still taking antibiotics. I hope everything will continue to be well.

The surgery costs around Php 60,000 (even with PhilHealth). For those considering LIS in the Philippines, that's the amount you have to save up for, but it's oh so worth it.

Day 5 after LIS operation, and third BM. I'm up and about. I attended class, confided to the teacher why I was absent last meeting, and she was sympathetic. BM didn't hurt today. I decreased my antibiotics dose. LIS really is the gold standard in AF!

Hi Paine, yes, he's kind and helpful. I have you and torninhell to thank for the recommendation. AF doesn't hurt na, but I occasionally feel twinges of pain in the incision site especially when I am seated in a flat surface. How about you, getting better na rin?

9 days post op, I am pooping well (daily!) and generally active. I take short walks to get the blood moving, slowly introduced meat to my diet again, and still taking antibiotics. I checked the other day, and I see a small cut, a small fissure, but it doesn't hurt, and I'm optimistic it will heal real soon because I am no longer tight! I feel a little sore after prolonged sitting in a flat surface, so I try to sit on cushions, or stand when I am working. The incision site doesn't hurt, basically, the problem is just me worrying and overreacting to everything.

No pain after BM. I'm so grateful for that. My LIS was on April 22. It's now May 3.

I don't know, doc said he performed partial LIS. I don't strain during BM. I squat and just take deep breaths. I also don't sit for long on flat surfaces. How long has it been since your LIS? A month or so and you'd be pain free. :)
