Ok, so I was not expecting much from the nitro, as the nifedipine did not do much help. Also, also of people on the board did not have much success from the nitro.
I am soooooo loose down there! I feel like I had LIS! I had to run to the bathroom this morning - I thought I was gonna loose it! I am honestly afrad to put more on this morning. I am not complaining - this is what I want.
Did anyone get this feeling from the nitro? Does the medication effects lower with more usage?

Jen , try using a dab HALF the size of a pea to start with ..........
I think everyone using it for the first time gets a big reaction from it.
Then , after a few weeks it's not as effective and you'll be using more .

Yes, I was very loose down there. I would have to run to the bathroom most mornings. I didn't feel that it changed much, it pretty much felt loose no matter how long I used it. I haven't used it for a couple of nights now, but I'm still having to run to the bathroom and it's slipping out easily so far.

How long have you been using it for?

I used it for 6 weeks at first. Then, for another 2 weeks about a month later. And just finished another week on it, but the doctor said to stop using it until we find out more after my colonoscopy next week.

Oh I wish I "got loose" LOL !!!! Even with Nitro and Nef. My sphincter
was tight as a knot! Sometimes it would loosen just enough to pass the gas without pain ! You guys are lucky !!!! If you don't have spasms to begin with, I can see how it can happen ; ) !

Maybe the nitro works only for the people with little or no spasms. I am REALLY loose! It almost makes me scared to get LIS, because although I am not leaking stool, I am way too loose....but I will take this feeling anyday over what I has before...

I know : (, I wanted to say that maybe this is a sine that your sphincter is not in spasm and that LIS might not be solution for you but was scared that you will get disappointed of not having that as final option.
Juney also never had spasms and even 2 LIS surgeries did not help since that was probably not what was causing slowdown of healing for her : ((. If I were you , I would stick with conservative treatments !

I'm sure that's why I get so loose using it. I never had spasms either.
