How long were you on it? Did it heal you for good? How long have you been healed for?
The difference with the nifedipine is like night and day. Everyone is different, but the nito is a Godsend for me.

I agree with you Jen , I've using both daily and can really tell the difference when I apply the Nitro . No discomfort immediately after Nitro for hours .

i was on the nitro for like 3 months give or take,and it was assorted percentages,like i said ..1st it was .05,then the 2%..ive was told i was healed like in july of 07,i still take the metamucil and eat fibery stuff when i can,havent had no trouble as of yet,but my healing did lead to a fistula which i had to get worked on in dec of 07,that sucked...im still careful when i go to the toilet,i try and control things a little and never push...

Ewwww Danny, been there too. Yea, that's what scares me about trying to do too much too soon . I have a Mex vacation planned in two weeks - not sure I am going with this half-healed fissure ................ I can visualize having to explain in spanish that I have an absess in my rear in the mexican emergency room.

After all that I saw in the US hospitals, I would not hesitate to be in "anybody's" emergency room - can't be much worse than here - I am sure of that !!!!!
Actually - I am sure if you show some "pesos" that they would treat you as a King ; ) - fix your fissure and have some cute nurse to dance for you LOL !!!

I've decided to take three vicodins and apply a large amount of Nitro just before the flight and bring a bunch of shaved ice to sit on. They can pour me out of the aircraft when I get there.
I have only two weeks to go .
I really can't believe this thing JUST WON'T HEAL UP !!

Hey, : )> you can end up on TV if you want to !!! Just casually tell security that you have nitro-cream in your handbag LOL !!!!
I can imagine whole area scramming for safety ha ha haaaa...
PS: You WILL heal , just keep up with "the protocol" !!! You are already feeling much better ! Just remember where you started !

Thanks FISS, It might be easier if I could lie on my side all day - but I can't. That's really what it would take to heal this I think. I have work errands and giving rides to another city daily for a friend's radiation for his cancer. I figure his life is a bit more important than my butt right now.........

Awwwwe John , God bless you for being great friend and such compassionate person :}{: I am so sad that your friend has to go through horrible ordeal of having cancer and those painful treatments - I am sure that he is grateful beyond words to have you by his side !!!
I wish you both fast and complete healing and may you two soon celebrate life together doing fun stuff that you used to do before all of this happened !!!
