How to escalate?

Postby Harper05 » 16 Feb 2018, 11:59

My pain has been so bad the last few days I feel like I need the ER.
I have seen three doctors In the past 4 years.
And 3 surgeries in the past 1 year.
I can’t accept that I have to live my life in this pain.
There has to be a board or a committee that can review my case.
Does anyone know how to do this?

Hopefully, there'll be someone from the US on the board soon. But in the meantime, how about your local government officials?

Do you not have local health officials who might be able to advocate for you? Complain loudly on your behalf to a hospital who has treated you and didn't do a good enough job? Or find out for you if there is somewhere else to seek help?

Yes, I'm AF free now after the LIS in 2015. Yes, like a public health official, but that may not work for you in the US. I really hope that an American comes along to give you some more location-specific advice.
