WHYEEEE!? its bloody back

Postby Guest » 17 Apr 2008, 05:45

arg i thought i was over this in november last year, i had a few time wen i had slight bleeding but would only last a couple days but now ive had bleeding and pain during bm for ova 2 weeks. its only been a few times that it hasent bled during the last couple weeks but the cut is still there.
i can see it on the outside of the a hole, its in a different place to the last one, im pretty sure. its only o small cut 2mm long ans 1 mm wide, but it wont heal! im not getting cramps or pain except from the cut itself though i did get a slight throbbing crap while i had driving lesson the other day. any pain usually comes from the cut itself stinging. i dont understand why something so small cant heal and bleeds so much?! i still eat healthy and use my wheatgrass cream i just cant understand why this is happening to me. i dont know if its a fissure or what, if its chronic or acute. theres to point me goin normal docs again coz they neva see the cut and just say its nothing and give me hemmeroid cream. i want to see a specialist, someone who is a expert on these things, but you need a referal from gp! in this boody contry (england), i cant just go straight to a specialist.
i dont know what to do ive been getting this as long as i can remember i just want it to stop. maybe im just prone to getting these lle cuts every now and then, i dunno, its not fair though i eat healthy hi fible food! i really dont want this one to last ova a month again. im starting to worry i got something serious like anal cancer.... i got this lump thing inside as well that prolapses out the a hole somthings wen i hav a harder bm or if im stressed/sik. its quite large bout 1 cm and has a white fiberous tip. im scared its a cancerous polyp, but when the doc examined me she sed she couldnt feel anything, but i think they are wrong! i hate this bloody coutry where u just cant see an expert without a referal from a useless gp! sorry for the rant.

Well, it's pretty much the same here in the US, you need a referral to see a specialist, though the wait time isn't always so long. It sounds like a prolapsed hemorrhoid + a fissure to me, but I am just guessing! Maybe you can go to another GP?
The wheatgrass cream is not proven by any means to help heal AF, so don't be putting all your eggs in that basket. There is only anecdotal evidence that it does anything at all.
I am still not sure if any type of BP cream is available in the UK, perhaps Val can speak to that, but it would probably surely help. Nefedipine or diltiazem is what is commonly prescribed here.
You may indeed be prone to fissures, I am sure many of us are more so that the general population.

i already went to 2 different doctors and got the same aswer from both. the wheatgrass cream did help last time and stopped me having any problems for ages. all the tratment ive seen for fissures such as creams, surgery, all seem to be geared towards helping blood flow to the aread relaxing the muscle. but my muscle feels relaxed and theres obviouslt no prob with the blood flow at i seem to bleed from even a scratch the size of a pinprick. thanx for ur advice, mago and see another doctor but if they tell me i just got hemmeroids again and its nothing i think il just explode!

Well, it is a VERY good sign if your anal area is not tight!
Since this problem has only returned in the last couple days, then with a loose anus, it may be too soon to tell whether or not you can heal on your own. If you did last year, then why not now?
It can take 6-8 weeks for the fissure to heal, so keep the diet up and do everything you know to do right from today forward and perhaps it will heal on its own.

I am sorry about the return of your symptoms but you handled it and healed the last time and seem to have a pretty good system for managing it.

There is a product called Anoheal that perhaps you won't need a specialist to get it prescribed to you. I know you sphincter doesn't feel tight but these compounded blood pressure creams like Anoheal or Nitro are first line of defense.

Perhaps taking warm baths will help and taking some cod liver oil, flax seed oil or mineral oil will help coat the poo so it doesn't sratch. As you can see we are all trying to heal here so you are not alone. But that is wonderful you had such a long run of being pain free. Just do what you know to do and start the process to see a specialist so you can at least have peace of mind.

It sounds like what is bulging out when you have a bm is an internal hemorrhoid. Those can usually be dealt with pretty easily with rubber band ligation, sclerotherapy or infrared coagulation.

Make sure you are not straining and take what ever softener you need to make it easier to go.

Yes the Anoheal has 2% diltiazem, helps a great deal :)
Maybe it is best to put your foot down with your GP and insist you be referred
I use movicol a softner- which really helps

it's possible the prolapsing thing is a skin tag from the fissure. i was convinced my skin tag was a hemmorhoid, and i even tried to push it up in the hole a few times! it had a tapered off tip, and just kept getting bigger as months passed.
i'm surprised the regular drs aren't giving you a referral when you keep coming back w/ problems and they aren't helping you. what does it take to get a referral there?? here in the US we actually have to see a gp first before we can be referred to a specialist also. it took me 2 times going to a gp before i got a referral. have you tried telling the drs your own diagnosis? when i went in saying "i have hemmorhoids" they just reiterated my own diagnosis and were useless...until i saw the specialist.
can you ask for an exam to put your mind at ease? a colonoscopy or anoscopy maybe? i believe those can only be done by CRS's, so maybe that would get you in.
just some suggestions, sorry i can't be more helpful!
