Harper, have you heard anything back from your doctor about the MRI results and what treatment would be appropriate?

I still have not heard back from my doctor. He did call and say he didn't think it was a fistula although the radiologist said it was. So I went to his office and I have him the CD of the scans and i have not heard anything from him, its been 3 weeks, is that normal??
I ended up seeing a difference CRS because I wanted to know what the scans say, she also does not believe its a fistula. She thinks I am having levator spasms, and wants me to have the a Anorectal Manometry - is it painful? And she says after that to do the biofeedback...Has anyone had experiecne with either?

If you haven't heard back in three weeks it's probably because someone in his office dropped the ball, or he has forgotten about your case.

I haven't had manometry but it may be uncomfortable because they have to insert a probe rectally, and then use a balloon to measure your muscle strength. You should find out more information about what exactly it will involve. I briefly did biofeedback during a PT session, and it was to check what the external muscles were doing. It was interesting to see the graph on the computer screen as I tensed and relaxed them. Is she referring you to a pelvic floor PT?

Pelvic floor PT yes. And biofeedback.
Are they different? I’m trying to research both and I’m confused.
Are they invasive and uncomfortable?
I’m wondering if I should do the biofeedback and PT instead of the mammotry test... I really don’t want to do that!

Biofeedback is different because of the sensors used, I think. The best person to ask is the PT you've been referred to. Do you have a referral yet? If you have a good PT, she will do her best to make sure you are comfortable. They don't touch you without forewarning unlike what doctors tend to do.

But where are the sensors placed? Is it invasive?

It depends on which muscle needs to be tested I suppose. If it's the internal sphincter then I think the PT would need to place a sensor internally. I've seen the device in a medical shop online. It doesn't look too much wider than a finger really. See this link for examples: https://www.cmtmedical.com/product-cate ... sensors-3/

Has anyone done the biofeedback and PT without the mammotry test?
Does anyone know what PT does? The doctor told me they teach you how to relax your pelvic muscle.
She’s convinced I’m having the levote spasms?
But when I’m sore it feels like a cut sore - but maybe that’s the same thing.
I’m always sore, but when it flares up it’s so sore!

I'm currently in PT and I haven't had the manometry test. The PT said I didn't need to do it. They work on relaxing trigger points. Maybe you could just take an appointment and go to the PT and see what she has to say. You'd get better answers to your questions.
