I’m going into my 9th week post LIS recovery. I am still feel a cutting sensation in either the incision or fissure site? Or is it scar tissue? No bleeding. BM’s are normal. Just discomfort throughout the day. It’s hard to know if I am healing or not since I am feeling this constant stinging sensation. Does anyone else feel like this after 9 weeks post LIS? I have an appt with my CRS next week. All thoughts/encouragements are welcome. Thanks so much

I’m 7 weeks post op and still having pain as well. I think it can take a long time to heal after this surgery for many people. It’s not like healing from a normal surgery because every time you have a BM he surgery site in aggrivated.
I hope we both feel better soon. The only thing we can really do is keep our BMs soft and check in with our doctors regularly.

Hi Bathbomber. Thank you for reading and responding to my post. I had no idea it would take me this long to recover from LIS. And my mind won’t stop thinking the worst

It has been a long road and I feel so stuck. I’m so sorry you are going thru it too. I hope we both get to feeling more normal soon. Thanks for the positivity and reassurance
