I deleted one today and yesterday and the spam account user names are some version of 'Smltrust'. It's really strange, and I've banned every single one as they pop up but they keep coming back as different versions. Another strange type of spam is nonsensical replies to posts that try to appear genuine but are clearly spam when you look at the user profile. I'll take screenshots next time and post them here.

Just deleted two more 'smltrust' posts. Argh! I took a screenshot but the site upload kept failing.

I see they are now marked out in pink on the board - shouldn't they just be deleted?

I don't understand why the first 5 or 10 posts by each new user can't be moderated, so that we don't have spammers at all. Most websites do that to protect themselves from the junk. I would certainly step up to moderate if need be, and I'm sure that with a few more volunteers, we could make this right.

That's a great idea chachacha. I'm willing to moderate for as long as I'm on this forum. Just deleted another smltrust spam post. I think the relevant IP address needs to be blocked.
