4 weeks post-op!

Things are still going great, zero pain, zero incontinence. I did have a *tiny* bit of blood a few days ago which I am guessing could have been due to either or a combination of:

- annoying hard and large BM one week before period due to getting constipated and missing 1 day. I have now written in my calendar for my next period to make sure that I am on a careful diet /extra stool softener already 10 days before my period to account for this. I am annoyed at myself for not preparing for this one because it does always seem to happen before my period grrrr.
- Eating nuts again and things with seeds, also drier foods and experimenting so maybe it was a little too early for this.

I had a look and it seemed to have come from the skin tag wound so I am now aware that it needs a bit more time to fully close as it was indeed quite a big wound. I think the fissure is healed, I can't see it anymore. Good news is I am still pain-free! Just need to be avoiding the sharp foods and conscious of my pre-period constipation for now.

I went out for Korean food last night which was soooo tasty and a bit spicy! I was a bit nervous about having some of the deep-fried goods but it actually made things smoother today. I have read others on here have this same experience with oily foods. So I'm content that I can definitely go out for some greasy foods here and there and not worry about hard or spiky BMs. :D

Do things feel looser? Like during bms does it feel like everything opens an moves out better? My issue is feeling like my muscle just doesn't open like it use to

Hi missy moo! Things feel much much more comfortable compared to before surgery. I wouldn't say loose, but it just feels normal (not tight). BMs have been really easy.

The best thing for me is raising the legs with a stool or squatting for BMs. I am sure you know that already, but the difference is amazing as I did try some days just sitting normally and found my BMs to be quite incomplete at times.

Thats good to know I would hope if I had lis that would be the big change for me because at the moment everything is just so tight it feels like it can't stretch for a normal BM. I already squat everytime, it does help I've been doing that for a few years now but things are just always tight.

I imagine LIS would be effective in that respect. :)
