Healing but still need help

Postby Ada3000 » 18 Jun 2021, 12:47

Hello everyone just want to say thank you all for your stories and advice. I have been on this journey since October 2020 after having constipation and a bad BM. Crazy how one incident could cause all this. Anyways I started to reflect on diet and learn as much as possible. Made some changes such as diet, squatting when going, and Magnesium at night. This all really started to help and pain level went down dramatically. I've had setbacks but overall feel im on the right track. Its been weeks since I've had signs of blood but when I go I still feel some irritation even if poop looks good and isnt to big. Is this normal? It is a little bothersome and itches a bit but overall way better than before. Also sometimes it doesn't feel irritated at all and I feel like 90 percent. Could this be tissue damage or something? Any responses would be appreciated. Take care everyone.

Hi there, from your symptoms it's hard to tell if you've healed fully or not. The area is extremely sensitive and once disturbed can send all sorts of confusing signals. Have you seen a colorectal specialist? They can do a non invasive exam and figure out what's going on.
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy

So glad you have noticed some improvements after lifestyle changes. as above, things are super sensitive down there with nerves, blood vessels, etc. healing takes time. For some of us its days, others it's weeks or months or years. keep up with what you're doing but a physical exam by a colorectal surgeon may be of benefit. Drink plenty of water too!!
