Hello, i am new to the forum
I dont know how this works
I went to the er yesterday, i have had what i thought were hemorrhoids since sept 30,2021 and was treating it with anucort suppositories.
As time went on i was in more pain, not a lot of pain at first just within the last 6 days it really is painful.
I thought i had a thrombosed hemorrhoid because i have had one before.
I also had a fissure before but not this painful
I had a sphincterotomy for that one but was never told about glycerin or home care remdies.
I am worried and get anxiety because im scared it wont go away.
I hope to find friends in this forum to help me through this I dont really know how to use this site though.
Thank you for listening
Allison

Did you get a diagnosis of what you have?

The er dr said “ he thinks its a fissure”
They did a ct scan and he said there is nothing in the scan that they see that would need to be operated on.
I am in so much pain
I was given a presc for the glycerin rectal cream and i have been taking baths
I had surgery for a fissure 6 yrs or so ago and the pain before the surgery is nothing like i feel now.
I also am not bleeding at all.

I don't think a CT scan is needed to see a fissure in most cases. Please try and see a colorectal specialist and get diagnosed.
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy

Hey Allison,

How are things going? I am also in a lot of pain due to having hemorrhoid surgery a few months ago and now a fissure. I have been in pain for two months. My doctor gave me cream to put back there and after two weeks he said I "closed" the fissure but now two weeks after that the pain is back so I am very depressed and full anxiety. Please hang in there. You are not alone dealing with this kind of issue!
