what does good poop look like? (part 2 i think.....)

Postby happyass » 22 Jun 2008, 08:24

i think we had a post way long time ago when this forum was in its infancy and we were discussing what good poop looks or feels like....
i was just thinking this today as i had my bm this morning and for the first time in a long time and of course after getting back into the groove of macrobiotics, i had a very nice bulky, thick, but fluffy floaty poop in the toilet.
it reminded me that floating poop that was fluffy and thick was the best - i may be wrong....but definitely one of the aspects of healthy elimination is to have floating poops rather than those that sink to the bottom.
i have been more diligent in making macrobiotic eating decisions (not that i do eat macro 24/7 right now but i am reintroducing my system to it again because i do find that i get a lot more gassy inside due to the tofu and beans and miso) and i have been training with my jogging and combining it with yoga classes at the new yoga place here in my neighborhood (a Godsend!).
as i sat in the toilet having my bm, it was just effortless and everything came out as beautiful as a chocolate cake does from the oven! that i was thinking when i looked at my labor of elimination, that it was quite different than what i had in my mind.
i was expecting something quite skinny, very little in quantity, and to be heavy as it has been for a long time.
i was in shock to see how big, thick, and floaty it really was.
it was just a reminder that putting my effort back into eating and exercising and being a bit mindful of my bum and listening to when my body wanted to eliminate, it was just as if i had never had an anal fissure ever.
despite having endured my share of fissure pain for a while, i am still a bit cautious and to be honest a bit scared that i will get another so today to be able to have everything come together as it did was a very nice way to get my day going and to remind me to keep up the good work on eating well, exercising, taking my medication, and making some time for me - even if it is in the form of going to yoga class.

Mine was a Da Vinci and took place as elegantly as a Mozart symphony....

Hehe! We had a lot of scares here at one time, when a lot of Chinese restaurants were shutting down because they were cooking cats and dogs. Strangely enough, there were a lot of stolen pets reported around the same time!!!

People in this group are no doubt the very greatest experts on how "things" are supposed to look. For me the thinner the better, but I have read that pencil thin stools can indicate cancer. I am sure that doesn't apply to any persons in this group as we are diligent about everything.

I actually had a prettty nice one today. It was firm enough that it kind of just let itself out which is so nice when I hardly have to do anywork.

I am still waiting on my platform to see how that affects everything.

It is amazing how a good poop will just brighten your mood. Or I am just a :catcshe:

Lecia et. al.,
Good poop gets me in a great mood, so I guess we are both a little freaky.

i remember the days before the fissure when having a poop at the end of the day - you'd let everything go and your body felt like it was on a natural high and you felt soooo much better, lighter, and just right to go to bed after a nice lather/relaxing shower.
pooping is one of those things in life that should bring joy and relaxation.........damn fissures and ass problems for taking that away!!!!!!

I know. I love when you have such a good evacuation like you are walking on air afterwards. It was so relaxing. I miss the good old days.
