in alexandria, va, arriving at work and in my office - hearing screams from other staff watching TV and wondering what the hell was going on...then moments later, the pentagon was hit and that is about 2 miles from where we are and you could feel it almost....all phone lines and cell phones stopped working and i couldn't call my family in texas to let them know i was okay.....
