I take sugar free Citrucel fiber. It is what my doctor recommended and it causes little gas. Sometimes when traveling I take Fiber Choice chewable just because it is easy. For breakfast I eat Kashi Vive Probiotic Digestive Wellness Cereal. This stuff is loaded with around 50% of your daily fiber and it is not half bad tasting too.
To add one more thing, the surgeon did squirt some kind of acid like stuff on the incision site, it burned for a few hours. She wanted to make sure that the incision would heal smoothly, I probably had just a little scar tissue left.
Before I left she told me there is a 5% recurrence rate to scare me from never stop taking fiber.
