Day 3 post LIS report

Postby sidra1968 » 07 Aug 2009, 09:06

Morning everyone.
Just thought I'd keep you all updated because I know there are people on this board and lurkers out there that maybe I can help.
Day 3, still feeling great, but itchy... yesterday played around on the net all day and just took 3 OTC Ibuprofen in the early AM and then didn't need anything till I started making dinner around 5 PM - a little pain hit then (like a bruised butt feeling) and I took 3 more ibu's (as I call then), felt all better in 20 minutes. Before bed at midnight took 3 more.
Woke up this morning and had soft BM due to the Miralax and NO pain. I have put a bit of the Wheatgrass cream on (mainly because I had bought it previously and figure it can't hurt).
So, fingers still crossed, plan on taking the Miralax indefinitely...I don't go back for a follow-up until August 24th, so hopefully by then I will be close to normal.
Hope everyone is feeling OK today. Again, ANY questions welcome! I'll be on here all day!

Glad you're doing so well. I had my surgery last Oct. and it's taken me a long time to recover. My fissure healed quickly but the scar tissue from a previous surgery and this one can get really sore at times. Remember to always keep your bms soft and easy to pass. Did you get any skin tags from your fissure? I got a few but they didn't remove them. Dr. said that sometimes after you remove them you can get new ones while healing so unless they are causing lots of trouble they don't like to remove them. Good luck and I hope you continue to do well.

I had one and he said the same thing...that he leaves them there if they aren't causing problems (mine didn't). You know, now that I think back to even 8-9 years ago, I had a much smaller tag in the same spot - just figured it was my body being weird and didn't give it too much thought , etc.
Wonder if I had had some problems even way back then with fissures - but just happened to have no pain, and they just healed on their own without ever knowing I had them in the first place?
