One week post LIS

Postby bob » 14 Dec 2009, 12:30

I am very encouraged one week post op. No pain on no meds. BMs fine and no longer bleeding with BM. There is still slight spotting on pad or underwear but that is diminishing. I hope this continues and want to encourage those who are having severe pain which has not responded to medical therapy to consider this option. I really did not want to do it - worried about incontinence and rectal surgery sounded like it would be agony post op. But amazing how little pain there has been - absolutely nothing compared to before. I have been sitting without difficulty and once I see my CRS this Friday I hope to get back to the gym. It has truly been a life saving procedure - there is hope!
