If only I could turn back the clock...

Postby StevePain » 29 Mar 2010, 13:04

... Bet we all think this...
I know we all say this at times for various reasons, but with AF as the BEST reason, I truly wish I could go back to before all this crap started and treat my body like a temple, I would of put only the best in my body and never strained myself, I should of let nature take it's course instead of hurrying things along by pushing, I know - hindsight is a terrible thing! But there isn't a day goes by where I don't think about life before rectal pain and what it used to be like, although it's a distant memory now since i've had a$$ problems for over 10 years, only 2 of them are AF years but seem like a lifetime, what normal people take for granted, we simply cannot, I can't recollect what it feels like to have a normal pain free BM and just use the bathroom briefly instead of my life revolving around it, it's not just that, it's other things like just sitting comfortably, going for a walk, going out for a meal, etc etc, these are things that most people take for granted but for the AF sufferer these are incredibly difficult, anal fissures should be recognised as a disability, because we are in a way debilitated, limited in what we can do...

I to think about this all the time. Since my problem is the damn tightness I would have used a butt-plug up there to prevent a fissure to ever accur...
This is no life at all :(

I once read somewhere that a guy with AF's had stretched his own anus using different sized dildo's rather than having the treatment done by a specialist, apparently he had used a small dildo first and gradually increased the size over time thus stretching the anus, similar to anal dilation but without the sedation Image he claimed to of cured his own fissure this way (over time)

^ lol ok given the choice of that treatment or LIS, I think I'd lose my fear of LIS real quick :)
If I could turn back the clock I'd just live with sinusitis instead of trying to treat it with stupid antibiotics. Then I'd still be happily eating junk food and drinking beer and be none the wiser as to the existence of anything called an anal fissure. I'm pretty sure this is life's little way of reminding me not to whine so much about sinusitis :)

I'm sure every one of us would do many things differently. I would have started 8 glasses of water/daily and taken more fiber in my diet earlier in life!

i wouldn't have strained to pass that one "magic" bm back in the day (thinking i HAD to get it out then and there)...that week i would have totally overdosed on stool softeners, laxatives, and even an enema if i had known what was in store...
the massive amounts of water would have started much earlier...and healthier eating of course...
ahhhhh---hindsight....

Dee - it seems we got the fissure the same way  !!!
I was in a public restroom and there was too much noise and I could not relax to have a BM BUT I also decided that I will just have it and be done with it and pushed with all my might : (((. My outer and inner sphincter were not ready for the evacuation and my skin cracked : (((.
Yes, I wish I never did that *sigh - and for what - to continue shopping LMAO !!! It would be funny if it was not tragic : ( !!!!
