This morning went ok and I'm going to start a new strategy today.
Taking docusate sodium. I'm going to keep track exactly the fiber I'm taking in and I'm going to try and spread out the fiber throughout the day rather than eaten the 20g for breakfast.

Yes, do spread the fiber out. It's one reason I took citrucel in the evening, as that is when I got less fiber.
Twenty grams of fiber at one sitting is just too much!

Yikes, so I tries the generic brand colace, however my BM this aft was CRAZY soft, almost liquid.
Could Colace do that?

I think it's possible, but there was probably more involved at work than just the colace...It never made my BMs mushy or anything...
How much did you take?

Just one capsule last night.
I'm also stressed like crazy, so that may be a factor as well.

Your system might also need to get used to it. You might want to see what happens in a couple of days of taking it.
Colace comes in 100mg and 50mg, so if 100mg is too strong, you could try 50mg.
About 6 weeks ago, I tried colace and immediately had what you described -- almost liquid poo. It didn't feel good, so I stopped taking it.
Then I tried it again a week ago...and it just softened my poo, it didn't liquify it (and hasn't liquified it at all since I've been taking it). Who knows. For me, inconsistency has been the name of the game.

Yeah, I tried the 100mg. I'll take a look for the 50.
But, yes it didn't feel good, but at least the bulky stools didn't rip up the fissure again.
Figuring out the right mix of food and drugs is good times!

I actually took about 400 mg a day of colace. I took two 100mg around 3:00 and two more around bedtime.
