Hi Cheryl-
No Remicade yet. The plan is to first just try the Azathioprine for 3 months and then add the Remicade to the mix if needed. I started on the Aza(175mg) a little over a week ago and the side effects have been horrid - 24/7 nausea and feeling like I got hit by a truck. I finally called the GI yesterday and they cut me back to 50mg for a week to see how it goes and I assume ramp it slowly. I get blood draws every 2 weeks to make sure it isn't wreaking havoc with my blood counts.
The GI group here in the Twin Cities is huge. I am seeing a doctor that specializes in Crohn's. The group has specialized IBD clinics that I go to. So far so good. I researched ratings/reviews and came up with this particular doctor. What was nice is my CRS recommend the same doctor. I view Mayo as my back-up if needed.

hi mr fissure,
even in the worst of days, i never let the fissure get the best of me.
but over time, fissure or skin tag, i am ready to try this journey to LIS/skin tag removal.
despite having good days for about 5 in a row, this morning reminded me that this is the right step. i had fine bm and then three hours later at work, my stupid pain set in. it's fading as the day draws to an end but my hope next month is that it will be put to an end too.
more than six years.
yep, i've had enough. even if it doesn't get in the way of my doing stuff but that is because i live alone and i have to do things or else nothing gets done.
