I seem to have no time to read fiction as there are SO MANY books I want to read. I like bios the best and also like to read about places after I have been to see them.
Right now I want to get some books about Key West and Ernest Hemmingway as we saw Hemmingway's home on Key West during the conch tour train around the island. I also am requesting the lib get me a book about carbs and dieting that I recently read about in a mag.
I try to buy few books as I have book shelves full of them, and I like to save money. I also have a book right now that I purchased "The Accidental Billionaires." The book was the basis for the recent movie "Social Network." And I have started a book about Howard Hughes. Image
What is your favorite U.S. state to visit/you have visited or favorite foreign country to visit/you have visited?

My favourite country as a visitor is Italy.
Which city that you have visited would you like to go to again?

I think I will go with Fort Myers Beach, Florida, as I just returned from there and hope to go again next winter!

That is a difficult one, funnily enough. Also many that have attachments to them, so I will go with the name I would have given a son, had I had one. Michael.
I keep wanting to get onto the subject of food. But then I remember what I CAN'T eat and put it out of my mind.
Do you have a pet name that you use for a loved person or one that they have for you?

My husband used to call me "Dudley." Does that count?
I'll go with a food question--what is your favorite dessert??

My Mom makes the most incredible chocolate mousse. She does it with such love and precision that every other mousse I've ever had pales in comparison! Image
Cheryl - I'm so glad you had a great trip to Florida! Isn't it great to get some warmth into your bones??
Savaici - It seems you have a background in S.Africa, are you from there?
Bambi - thanks for resurrecting this thread!
Ok, those weren't really my questions!
If someone offered you their house on a tropical island to use for one year, would you take it if it meant quitting your job and leaving your home on short notice?

BB,
I've never tried to make chocolate mousse. Maybe I should suggest that dessert to my mother!! The trip was great, and the warmth for the bones was fabulous. When we first arrived, I was still wearing my "Midwestern" clothing as we walked along the sandy beach. Many people stared at me as they were in their flip-flops, shorts, tank tops, and bathing suits!!
What is your favorite island you have visited??

My favourite island, without doubt, is the island of Mahe, in the Seychelles. I have visited and lived there and have many old friends from there too. No match for the beauty anywhere, and I have been lucky enough to visit many islands around the world.
Bumbutt, I lived in South Africa, and have family there now and in Zimbabwe, but I was born in England.
Question!Question! What is your favourite dog breed?
