Hey NG! Congratulations on surviving the alien probe! :D I'm glad it wasn't as bad as you thought it would be. It's a good thing that you did it, actually, since they got that polyp. Do you know when you will get to see the ENT? I'm very happy no GI issues were found And I'm glad it's all over and you're home now. :D
Damn, sorry I'm too late to reassure you: I had one of these done, no sedation whatsoever except the numbing spray, and it was totally easy. Well, once you realize you have to swallow the tube :) Also had two colonoscopies done without any sedation, also both totally easy (in fact the sensation when they washed certain areas for better viewing were quite pleasant). :p
Congrats, you survived, NG!! I'm sure you feel a great sense of relief that is is now over as I recall you had apprehensions. Isn't it strange, that so often medical procedures and tests are FAR LESS WORSE than we anticipate they MIGHT be!!
