hello all. this is my 2nd time being on this site but lost my first account name. 1 month ago after going to er room was told i had anal fissure went to rectal doc and she gave me some nitro cream to use. I have been using the nito creme for 1 month and have had some pain and itching still. Going to rectal doc on friday to see if the fissure has healed. How can u tell if the fissure has healed? Also i am unsure of what the actual fissure looks like to check myself. thanks...

I think the only way to know a fissure has healed is when months go by and you haven't had a re-tear.
I couldn't see my fissure from the outside. Only my CRS could see it when she examined me. There are pics on the internet. It's basically a paper cut on your anus. :oops:
