You're right...GP's know very little!

Postby Bottominal Blues » 22 Aug 2011, 19:32

So went to my GP..again and said he REALLY had to do something. He left for like 10 minutes and returned saying he couldn't find the strength for the drug that starts with N,nifedrine is it, so I said for him to look for Diltiazem, no, couldn't find that one, so I asked for Nitro. Yes, he could do that, but again left to look for strengths. Finally wrote a script for 0.2%, but all it says is to apply it to affected area twice a day (no amount, not even the amount of grams for the jar, just wrote "1Tube"). Go to the pharmacy, they are trying to give me something for angina. But then they said they could order it, but they were going to get 2%. After correcting them I figured I would be safer to go somewhere else. Wow, I may never get this ointment! Good thing I suggested (insisted) that the doctor finally refer me to a CRS. I think he realized he was out of his area of competence on this one. Only taken 3 months to get to this point. Thank goodness for all you experts! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

All we should use GPs for is a stepping stone to a CRS appointment! They are pretty damn useless.
