Understand that u have some issues with health, all the more I will suggest u to eAt healthy. Goggle ur issues n center ur foods on those that can specifically help u to self heal eventually. I m a believer of gd diet n supplements cos I have indeed benefited frm it. Drugs can only suppress ur symptoms, nt to mention the many side effects that it cld bring yet cldnt heal u.
I have came across quite no of frens of mine who has cancer, rare issues with their health n all came to adopt a gd diet n supplements that they nd and they came to be better.
Pls don't entirely trust the docs as we r living in a fast paced world thus the medical world is also abt suppressing symptoms fast in their ways. Yet, the root prob is always there n so of cos the symptoms will sprung up again.
Just my 2 cents worth
May the lord bless u!

Ok been to the chemist he does not recommend the Magnesium but told me to take Ducolease at first he suggested Lactulose but I cant have it because I am diabetic :( going in sane with the pain here the stinging is all the time hours after opening my bowels can I be quiet graphic when I feel the urge to open my bowels it starts to come then it feels like it is stuck in the opening and wont come out so I gently push not a good idea I know will the stool softener help with this I hope it does. My stools are soft looking so I dont understand why they wont come out with ease so confused Image

Mmm Go get a second opinion about the magnesium. Take the Miralax stool softner it will totally help you. As for ur predicament on the loo, I found when I got all worried and stressed about going it made that happen. Stress does sneaky things to you. Try getting in ur bath first to loosen up a little and then hit the loo (with a hammer lol) ok, sit on the loo and back in the bath? Aww It's awful I know. Stick using miralax/movicol Image

Yes I know all about what stress can do :( they did not have that softner htye only had ducoease so going to give that a try. Why does it sting continually all day it settles then starts again so stressful Image tried keeping busy and trying to take my mind of it just cant settle just waiting for the next big sting and thats without having a BM since the morning is that normal. I phoned my specialist and she said to keep going with the cream and I go back for another sigmoidoscopy on the 21st Oct. This time I have to take a extra dose of Movieprep I am not looking forward to it :(

I think the stinging you mention are the spasms?? I swear by the magnesium but please get a 2nd opinion? We all need mag in our systems everyday, regardless of other health conditions you know. I just wonder why ur pharmacist disagreed?? Oh and I know about all these blinkin oscopy's !! If only there was another way of seeing inside the bowel! One thing though, we have no nerves in our bowel, so if they have to take a biopsy it won't hurt. It's the u bend that is uncomfortable. Oh well, we gotta do what we gotta do hey Image

Remind me Susan, what cream u got?? Also, folk on here recommend valium. I got prescribed Tramadol a few months ago when I was really really bad. They helped as they knocked me out and I talked double dutch too lol... Ask GP and best of luck to you too!

Hi Susan, I know what it feels like to have problems with medication/other health problems! I have IBS so taking anything for me is real trial and error. I tried the magnesium and well, put it this way I couldn't leave the toilet for a few days! I take lactulose (though i know you can't), but i do take one dulcoease tablet just before I go to bed. This has really helped with softening for me (but not too much!). You could try one tablet then increase it if you need to. The only other thing I could suggest is fybogel, again this didn't agree with me but you may find it helps. Everyone is individual so it may work for you. Hope you get it sorted out - good luck! :D
