Andrea, I felt so awful for you when i read about your experience and prayed extra hard for you to get quick relief and healing. You are so helpful and encouraging to everyone here and surely deserve the best of care and cure. Keep your spirits up.

This is one thing I can relate to..... I had a partial Colonoscopy with an active fissure and hemmies 3 years ago, I had to make them stop the procedure before they took the difficult turn into the transverse colon, this is because I was awake and in agony!!! Here in the UK they do the procedure awake with no sedative, never again and I could be asked back for another soon, I will not go, I now have a deep rooted fear of this type of examination.

OMG Andrea!!!! How awful! I've never heard of anybody getting a colonoscopy done while they are awake!! I hope you have recovered from that horrible ordeal. Just unbelievable!
