How does your Fissure affect you and you life/Plans - Moan!!

Postby UltrabeaT » 08 Oct 2011, 08:00

Hi all,
Just wanted to share how my Fissures are currently affecting my life, and future plans. and it would be nice to hear other peoples stories too Image
Well im 20 and male. My Fissures are currently stopping me living my dream. The Royal marines :(
im not planning to enrole for atleast another year while im still getting fit and waiting for it to be 1 year post eye surgery.
for one they stop my entry on medical grounds. and if i managed to pass the medical if would then end up being medically discharged i guess...
it also affects my training for the marines as i cant eat lots of meat and high carb foods to keep my engery up and to help my body recover, gym sessions are becoming more difficult and i dont seem to be improving like i used to.
the thing is aswell which annoys me. i only get pain when i have a bm as soon as its out im pain free and i sometimes forget i have two fissures.
also Surgery. again very grey area with the armed forces... and being so young i dont think i can justify the risks

i just want to live my life again without butt pain and have 1 normal day when i dont have to worry about looking at my butt and trying to find out where the pain is coming from. would love to go on a trip, be able to go shopping with friends and just normal things again instead of being in the house and worrying about going to doctors.. i am burning out...

I couldn't lift, hold, or rock my new baby boy for months with out being in pain :( I was heart broken. I felt like I was being punished for having a baby and starting a family. I couldn't talk about it without breaking down and having people and doctors tell me it was postpartum depression. I felt like a failure. BUT it gets better, I promise. Don't put your dreams on hold because of this. You are bigger than your fissures and they aren't what defines you. You will join the marines, and Jenny, you will take that trip! Believe it!

in the last 3 months (thats how long i`ve been suffering from this nightmare) i `ve been to the specialist 3 times and each time she said its a fissure.how can she be so sure of it ? just by touching my "spot" and me creaming in pain..she once gave me antibiotic shots twice a day. What i am trying to say is..this fissure has really knocked me down.Has got me thinking i have more than a fissure..i dont even want to type the word. And im 30..i have a son.Im so nervous 99% of the time, that freaks me out.To be honest..i dont see the healing process has began and im wonderrign why ..i was ! now i see it never gonna leave me alone.this was an extra hit from God.Im already struggling being a single mom having a kid who is suffering from hearrign damage. The miracles of the Lord never stop...BUT I WONT GIVE UP.AS long as i have breath in me ..nor for my son nor for me..i`ll keep fighting..so shall we all.Be brave!

hi gabriel. welcome to the forum. these anal fissures are a nightmare. i guess it just takes time to heal and if they dont go away then you have the option of surgery. this web site has helped me out alot as i have read and read peoples stories and how they have coped thru this situation. i am just glad that i am not in this situation alone and have people to talk to on here. hopefully someone with more experience will chime in and tell you where to order that wheatgrass creme. i never heard of it before...

Thanks jenny2 for the support.the idea of going thru an operation terrifies me to be honest.im afraid to go to the specialist again cause she`ll suggest that.i`ll try to cop with it for now in hope it will heal.I am trying to relax my anal sfinkter on my own(how ever its called on english).I am using only glycerine for that, sterile gloves and my own hands.it sounds grose but it works, though the pain is unbearable.Lets see what happens..

i understand what you are going thru gabriela, but after awhile i think a operation is what is best so that you can get past the fissure problems and have a normal life again. i cant live with pain forever and am missing out on so much of life.. take it easy...
