Af healed... for now...

Postby beachgirl » 08 Nov 2011, 21:05

Saw my CRS today, and she said, no sign of AF. She did however say there was a thrombosis or blood clot which would take 5 to 7 days to clear up.
So... i am amazed and grateful.
looking back i can see this isn't the first time i have probably had an AF... only the worst.
so i don't want to rest on my laurels.
i've learned a lot here in a short amount of time and am still really cautious, even scared.
and thrilled, too.
i am just hoping i can manage to be tear-free without surgery.
she said to keep using the nitro cream, and gave me the name of a pelvic floor physical therapist (at my request).
thanks to everyone here, i've learned to much already. especially about FIBER and WATER and soft BMs and not taking anything for granted. not even this healing.
still i am happy for this ten seconds.
thank you all for your help,
i expect to continue to learn and contribute.

hi beachgirl, good! I'm happy for you and crossing my arms, legs, fingers for you too! Do continue the good healing regime (whatever it is) and IMO when you feel that the time is right, switch your OTC softeners / laxatives GRADUALLY to more natural softeners. T

thanks! i was just thinking about that. i want to do a post on chia seeds. and i do need to make a shift because the miralax seems to make things too watery for me and it seems like i can spend the next month figuring out how to get on the stuff... or the next month figuring out how to get off the stuff. (i've been using it for 3 days). not sure which way to go.

i'm so glad for you and hope it stays away. When your healed do you still have to do the sitz baths and creams. I'm 2 months into it and don't like the sitz baths, i mean they are soothing but i hate when i get up the water drips down my legs.
