see dr today

Postby sputnik » 14 Nov 2011, 23:16

well it didn't go good. I waited 2 weeks to see another gp who i was considering changing to from my family dr. He usually checks good but today i was last patient andit was 5:00 p.m. and i think he wanted to go home so did a fast check on my bum. All he did was look and couldn't see fissure but 1 skin tag. When my partner looked couple days ago she seen about 5 little lumps, so i don't know who'sright. I also mentioned having problemin women area and he didn't even look. I feel so mad. He usually does good. Now i'm confused as changing my dr's. i'll have to start checking out another dr. the only thing that turnedout was i bought the hand held shower. I asked about the fissure and he said if you can't see it then its healing but not completely if it still hurts. iwas looking forward to this appt so he can help with the fissure and check if its infected and he didn't even try find it. Oh well i'm off to do the sitz bath.

Hey Sputnik,
I would try to get an appointment with a CRS. Most of us haven't had very good experiences with GP's and fissures.
Mine never saw my fissure and did a digital exam Image
I went to the hospital twice and had an exam and they never saw the fissure. I wouldn't waste my time with other doctors. They are really clueless about fissures.
That's simply BS about not seeing your fissure means it's healing. Mine was inside the anal opening. I never saw it and neither did 4 doctors until a month before my surgery!! I had it 8 months Image

yes, don't waste anymore time and money on seeing GPs. They are not specialised in that area, and ultimately, they won't be the one doing the surgery if needed. Don't be like me, spend lots of money on GPs, suffered in their hands, got misdiagnosed. When i finally got to see my CRS, i told myself that i will make sure that i see him for all my anal problems!
