I am 12 days post-op fissurectomy and LIS. Had my follow-up with the surgeon on Tuesday. He said everything looked ok with the exception of some infection so he started me on antibiotics right away (Cipro). I'm at the end of the cycle of a/b (one pill tonight and one in the morning will finish them out) and just had my hubby look....still showing signs of infection.
Guess I'll be calling the doctor first thing Monday morning. Still doing sitz baths, being super careful with hygiene, etc.
Other than some irritating pain up in through my tailbone and some residual soreness I seem to be doing ok.
Anyone else go through this infection business?
