I have Tomato soup (either fresh or the Heinz tinned variety) at least once a week with wholemeal bread and it has never caused me a problem at all

Oh, I am so glad to have found this thread. Campbell's Cream of Tomato is one of my favorites. I also love this Tomato Bisque I get from the deli section of my local Dominick's (Safeway). I am happy to hear that this could continue to be a part of my menu.

Just eaten tomato soup and then read this. Hope things go ok!
The tomato soup (Heinz) made me feel quite bloated for a number of hours! However I think I had taken stool softnere earlier in the day so hard to tell which was causing it so try a little bit first!
