Sue, ya know - neither of the crs I've seen has even mentioned anything about diet to me - except that I needed to add fiber. One guy recommended Fiber One (I won't touch that stuff now), and the other guy recommended Konsyl (which I'm taking 2x per day right now).

Sue,
I think he means there is an association with overindulging in berries.
Who knows.
Seems to me the important things on the list are caffeine and alcohol. I read also that rooibos, which I had replaced morning coffee with, is also a vasoconstrictor. So I guess I will do korean barley tea or one of those celestial spicey herbal teas.
I never did drink pop, and I don't mind giving up citrus.
Who knows though. I mean how long does the vasoconstricting last? If you have a drink at night, does it matter if you don't have a bm til the next morning?
But best not to temp fate though.

I don't know. I was always confused. Even in fissure mode, I would occasionally eat a a small steak and had no problems. I guess as long as you are getting enough fiber, and taking a stool softener, it is ok. I did start eating much better, but the little monster still wouldn't heal. I always drink coffee even with my fissure, but I also drink alot of water.
