anal tampon???

Hey there,
So I was trying to find information about anal dilation in Germany (at home kind or SAD) and came across this pamphlet;

It mentions the usage of anal tampons soaked in oil of dog rose.
Anyone heard of this before?
I use oil of dog rose to try and soften up my episiotomy scar, helps a bit.
