What is Something You're Happy About?

Postby SunshineHope » 17 Oct 2007, 03:26

Hi all,
I know you're all probably thinking "oh no, not another one of her flowery messages" but I just thought it may brighten some of our spirits to share things we're generally happy /thankful about in our lives right now. It can be anything related to your fissure or even your general life.
This is pretty upfront, but I'll be honest. I've always had problems with being regular, and my BMs have often been unpredictable. Sometimes this has caused problems when I've had to go to school early or go travelling early and I'm still waiting for a BM, not knowing when it'll pop up... & then I'd have to go at some weird place when I'm not ready and don't have my wipes or medicine.
Recently, however, my BMs have been quite regular and I've usually been going shortly after I wake up. I'm REALLY happy about this and I hope I can keep this schedule going! Phew. Does anyone have any suggestions for making them happen even earlier, e.g. at a particular time like at 7:00 am every morning or something?
Well that's something I'm very happy about right now... Please share your little joys with us all! I'm sure it'll spread the love.. Thanksgiving just passed didn't it? Well maybe not in the US.. Yeah, anyways... Write away! :) :)
lotsa love,

I am so happy about the same thing! I love when I get up and I feel that bit of pressure and sensation and know I know I have to go!
There was a time due to the nerve damage that I lacked the sensation that I needed to go so I would just have to make myself and try and I would end up straining because the muscles weren't working right.
So I am thrilled that I now have regained that feeling!!!!
I still feel like sometimes I am not done going potty (sorry I have a 4 year old vocab, here) but I just tell myself it will come out next time and not to worry.
Thanks for starting this thread! You are my Sunshine!!!! Image

SSH,
Once you get your body on a schedule it usually sticks to it. Unfortunately, I don't sleep in that often because of this. Things that I do on a "slow" morning is drink and extra cup of tea. Caffine in the morning is a real helper. Also, I recently found that by placing my hands over my head and alternating which wrist I grab with which hand for a good stretch seems to help me get all the poo together for a complete evacuation.
I'm happy to have this board to turn to!

I do exactly the same thing every morning in the same order(perhaps I should join an OCD forum too?) but I think your body gets used to it then. I take flax oil, then aloe vera, then have muesli with rice milk, and then a huge glass of fresh orange juice mixed 50% with boiling water. After all that I can just 'go'.
At the moment I'm really really really happy just to be able to go out again and I'm actually happy to be able to do most of the housework by myself! How sad, eh?!!!
Does anyone else find hoovering is painful?Or perhaps I just hate hoovering so my bottom is sending anti-hoovering signals to my brain!!haha

It might be from the weight of the canister. Plus my rollers are so stiff it is really hard work trying to get it to roll over the carpets! :.\:

It could be. Also, everything is so tiring at the moment, even on the so called'good' days. I need energy in a bottle. No I don't mean alcohol, I don't drink, lol

Really, Val, that is not surprising. I found that when I bent certain ways, I'd get pain. Or kneeling down, or squatting.
I am happy I haven't seen any blood on my TP now for about4 or 5 months! I think my AF has really healed over good!!
I am also happy that Sunshine is regular!!!

I know what you mean about bending and squatting -getting the washing out of the machine really hurts!
While I was writing things I was happy about yesterday on here, my husband had his car smashed in from the side and spun over the other side of the road. His car was a write-off, but he was fine, so I just want to thank God that he was in his jeep and not my tiny car, which probably would have killed him, and say I'm happy he's ok.
