Sneely,
There is someone else on the forum whose doc recommended vaseline petroleoum jelly after a fistula and tag removal surgery.
http://anal-fissure.org/t4438-open-wound-healing-after-fistulotomy-e-z-lubricating-jelly
I used neosporin to heal my fissure the first time I got it. I use lanolin now, but it is thicker and harder to apply. So if you are real sore I would go with the petroleum jelly, neosporin , vitamin E or coconut oil.
The first two will last the longest before needing to be reapplied. Some others here use A&D ointment (not the zinc kind) (not available here in Canada though).
this is all IMO of course.
How you doing?
I was reading your other posts. Hope your pain is better!

also worth mentioning is aloe vera. (but choose a brand that doesn't use alcohol as a preservative!).
But it wouldn't be a moisturizing as your suggestions.

I'm out of hospital and the worst part I hope is over. I am still wishing I did not do it. I cry and sob after BM. I am trying to get a stool softener/Miralax combo down pat where I dont go much and it's a little bulkier.

Sneely,
That's great that you are home now.
Did they figure out what was causing the pain?
Was it the LIS or the tag removal, or is it too difficult to tell. Hope you don't mind my asking.
Hope you get the miralax combo down pat soon too, and your healing will take a big step forward!
You must be exhausted!

It's the skin tag wound. Feels like it's ripping open every time I BM. However I am off percocet and just taking ibuprofen 800 mg which is good
