I've read in a so many posts that compared to the LIS incision site its actually the skin tag removal that causes the most discomfort. These things do take time to heal as i'm sure you know already. The trick is to have a lot of patience and follow the doc's instructions to the letter. The burning will go down in a few days i'm sure and ur mobility will be much smoother! Take all steps to ensure that stools are soft and dont move around too much too soon even if u find yrself able to do so!

thanks everyone but I am almost 3 weeks post surgery and have that irritating burning still. I have been using heat and ice and that seems to help, as well as the warm baths. I just want it over and the constant agonizing over it is making the whole area feel worse than it probably is :(
I want to put cream on it or something but not sure what I can use that would soothe it.
Any suggestions would be GREAT Image

I feel so bad for you Quiggles. The pains from this are excruciating.
As for creams, I've heard a number of folks talk up a cream called Dr. Wheatgrass. There've been some good results with it.
Hope all goes well.

Hey quiggles,
Some people swear by aloe vera. Coconut oil is good too. Vitamin E gel will help with scaring.
People say the aloe vera is soothing. jr swears by this beemagic stuff as being very soothing.

Some people find the dr. wheatgrass stings a bit, so I would use it with caution. But others do find it soothing.
I think the aloe vera gel and vitamin E oil would be easiest to find. Look for aloe that is 99% so very little additives (and no alcohol!). I like jason's. Another member here uses 'fruit of the earth'. Aloe vera is know to have anti-inflammatory properties.
Hope one of these helps you!

thanks Tanya and everyone who has posted...this is so exhausting to deal with, its emotionally frustrating. I will give the aloe a try and stick with the warm baths and ice pack and see how that goes :( I am hoping it stops soon.
thanks again everyone I would be lost without this forum it's been my saving grace.
