Manuka honey works wonders on a fissure

Postby Tuberose » 14 Mar 2012, 00:38

hi again ...I'd just like to mention how I treated my last fissure. I applied manuka honey umf20+ on the area and I swear to God the fissure was healed by the next day. This honey is powerful stuff and is a natural antibiotic, its used for healing wounds that normal medicine cannot heal. It stung a lot when I applied it but only for a few hours then the fissure started to heal. I applied it for there days and my fissure was completely healed afterwards. Please give it a go next time, it's really great.

Mix the honey with the coconut oil... you could cook with it or apply it to your bum!

Hey Tuberose,
Are you using the manuka honey this time around?
Do you think if you kept using it, it would help shrink your sentinel?
My sentinel is in an awkward position, because of a scar at the base of my fissure, from a previous sentinel I had cut off. (wish I hadn't). I know I would heal faster if it weren't there. I think it gets pulled every time I have a BM because is next to the fissure instead of at the bottom of it. That is probably why I am so slow healing.
wish I knew how to shrink it without aggravating my fissure.
Thanks for the tip Tuberose!
Pat,
that's a great idea to mix it with coconut oil. I've heard it can be very sticky and hard to apply on it's own.

I have New Zealand Manuka Honey, but confess that I only tried it once on the 'area'. It was sticky and it put me off, which is a little silly of me. So I started eating it instead... I think I will try again, and get some coconut oil too. It is delicious, by the way. I usually have a tsp full a day, but at nearly $50 a jar, I feel that I should be a bit more chosey about which end it is given to... Image

I do think people with anal fissures develop the funniest sense of humour! Image

Lol :)
Totally agree with you Baba!
Yet my daughter is totally into captain underpants, and every time she reads me the parts where he gives the villains wedgies, I cringe!
Get the virgin coconut oil Sav. There's less friction heat in the pressing so more of the 'good stuff' is in it.

Hi just bought a bottle of Manuka Honey, but don't know how to apply since my fissure is internal, is your fissure internal one or external? how long do you have the fissure? and it cured it in only one day?
