I had a sygmoidoscopy with sedation yesterday. Guys, I like sedation! Had this procedure twice without - huge difference, no discomfort, no pain during or after. I was out for about 5-10 min only and my mind was clear when I woke up; no nousea as well, just slow and a bit dizzy for about 30-40 min. All procedure took 90 min. The best part is - she didn't see anything wrong including fissure!!! Told me to keep using Nifedipine for 6 more weeks. Unfortunatly had no time for asking questions. Is that possible for fissure to heal without scar tissue? Mine is chronic, as she diagnosted before, approximatly 10 weeks old with noticable skin tag. I will make an appointment, because I don't know what to do with my still very narrow rectum and urgency. Well, couple of hours after prosedure I had to use a public washroom, cabin was occupied and I didn't make it ...

It's a nightmare... It probably has to do with air they pump inside to see better. Now I know to carry extra underware in a handbag ( I already have one in a car). Todays Bm was much better, I managed to hold it for 3 minites while driving, trying not to panic too much and not to crush. I noticed that only a few people on this forum are suffering from similar problem, you would understand!
I'm happy that fissure is healing, but till now longest time between retears was 6 days. Today is only a 5th day. I am still looking for my food-fibre-stool softner rutine; when i think I've found it, after 5-6 days with no change at all I suddenly get wider and harder BM. I use Benefiber and generic Colace for now. The problem is that my intestines are sort of delicate ( easily get diarrhea ) and active ( 3-4 BM a day now, but used to have 1-3 before this AF ), so I don't dare taking something stronger.
Anyways, I will try being optimistic.
