Hi I have had my Fissure for 2 years now, and I have now had 2 lots of Botox and I'm still struggling and in pain and get a fair bit of blood not always when having a number 2 but sometimes I bleed just sat on the loo having a wee...I'm sick of it all now and when I see the Surgeon/Specialist in about 2 weeks I am going to express my interest in LIS as Botox clearly isn't working for me, I guess what I'm wondering is does it work, I've not read up on it all yet but after numerous creams, pesserys (can't spell), stool softeners, more veg than you can shake a stick at and 2 failed Botox its time for something else.
Would you recommend LIS as the next stage, or am I missing a stage somewhere, I need to get on top of it all as when I go back to the hospital in 2 weeks for a check up after the Botox and asks how I'm getting on I want to get some where, not just keep being fobbed off and having to go back to GP to be re reffered and getting rubbish creams that do bugger all, so I'm taking my mum with me cos I'm likely to just agree with what the Consultant says and end up unhappy with the outcome as I'm so shy and scared to stand up for myself and get this sorted once and for all .

I can understand the frustration. If you want to read my saga, just look up my name and what I have posted, under the memberlist.
Many have had surgery, and many with success and have left the site (see Davo's post, and many others). I am doing anal self-dilation, along with a few others on here, as cannot take surgery.
Also, if you put LIS in the search up on the right, you will come up with many posts on the subject.
