I know my experience hardly counts as my daughter just turned 40! I remember some pretty severe pain, but it didn't last forever. And I knew what my prize would be for pushing.....
With AF it can last for weeks, months at a pretty severe level of pain, which can wear you down physically and emotionally. And I don't think anyone here has found the "prize" of having an AF!
Just thinking of something even worse.......Imagine having an active AF at the time of delivery! Now that would be pain! Hemorrhoids were bad, but an AF?

definitely fissures are worse! have had 3 children which tells you the joy overcomes the pain...with a fissure it can be at least 9 months of hell with no joy at the end!

So I've been dealing with fissures for 2 and a half years now, so childbirth should basically be a breeze? Lol
