Hi OMB,
If you're in the US, I think Flaxmeal is a lot easier to get hold of and cheaper than here in the UK.
I think most people find it in Healthfood stores over there?
In the UK, you can buy really small and expensive packets in some supermarkets and Health food shops, but your best bet is to buy large packs of linseed (flaxseed) golden or brown, both are as good, get yourself a grinder online and grind the seeds up yourself. I grind them and then store in an air-tight container in the fridge. Flaxmeal keeps for ages and it's the cheapest and best way of getting good supplies of it. I'd definately recommend you grind as it's more bowel friendly if you have issues with pooping seeds!!!! LOL.
Definately worth a shot because it's not only fissure friendly but has so many other added health benefits :) x
