Pain meds are working well and I am finding for the first time ever, longer than prescribed. I usually metabolize meds much sooner than I should and suffer till its time for the next dose but I'm finding I only need to take the pills every 6-8 hours and I don't wake up once they've worn off. I talked my CRS into an OnQ pain pump and I wonder if it helping more than I think. I'll know soon cuz it's coming out today... :/ Still haven't had a BM but lots of gas with this mornings sitz bath so it's coming. Think it's okay if I take n Ativan or Xanax for this event? I'm so scared!! Image

Hey Anya, I'm glad your feeling ok, don't forget to take things easy and pamper that bum, try not to worry too much about that first BM, it really isn't that bad, I recall my first BM, the fear almost consumed me and I sat there and it just fell right out, no pushing at all!

Glad to hear everything is going good. I was swollen also, so I think it might be normal. My CRS suggested that I use ice to control the swelling. I did that sometimes for the first couple of days; however, I found that it sometimes made things tense up. Glad you have the first BM over!

Ok, back to BM issues... I went yesterday but not very much came out. If I lay flat and press my left side above my hip I can feel the stool in the descending colon but it won't move. My bowels just can't seem to get it together. I am taking Citrucel 2x a day and Miralax 1x, drinking water, milk, even coffee to move things along but nothing is happening. I'm so afraid that the stool sitting in there is getting huge and hard! I am tempted to do an enema but am just as terrified of that as I am to just let things happen naturally. I've gotten myself in a bit if a panic Image here in Image Florida. Not sleeping well either cuz of anxiety and bloating... Image
