Had an appt at crs clinics today. I saw a lovely female registra who was very nice and understanding.
She had a look at me.. Said all the anal skin looked healthy and then laid out my options.
She wants me to have a defacating proctogram .. Basically an X-ray of your anatomy as you poop. She said then they will have a better picture of how things are working down there. She told me lis had a 30-40% chance of incontinence, and didn't want me to choose that path lightly considering I am only 41 and as we age things get slack down there.
She gave me some local anaesthetic cream to get me through my holiday, said she would try and find out the actual brand of diltiazem I got on with and send me a script for that exact one.
I asked about trying nifedipine but she said they don't use it..only nitro or diltiazem .
So there we go.... More tests! I felt like she was really tring to put me off lis... Especially with those big incontinence percentages!
Came home and had to lie down for the afternoon as I felt so sore..(and depressed!)

Nor did I. I think she was trying to put me off.
