Little help?

Postby Catface » 05 Nov 2012, 23:36

Hi there! Image
Hopefully I’m going about this right; please forgive me if this post is misplaced. I’m not very good with forums. ^^;
So, I’ll start things off simple. I’m a 15 year old girl. For a while now, I’ve been experiencing some pain. At first it wasn’t too bad, just a little bit of stinging every time I made a BM. Now it’s gotten far worse. I happen to have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and lately it’s been acting up quite a bit. I’ve been having diarrhea for nearly two weeks, presumably from stress. Here is where I’m assuming my fissure got worse. Now it hurts just to sit. It’s quite annoying.
Now all this is pretty new to me. I haven’t even heard of a fissure until tonight. I’m guessing I need to get some more fibre in my diet, so I can go from diarrhea to something…whole so to speak. I have a fibre supplement for my IBS that I stopped taking, so I’ll wean myself back onto that. And I’m having a doctor’s appointment arranged.
Is there anything else I should do?
Any diet suggestions?
And please, anything to stop the pain and itching. Image

Hrm. Because things are so loose for you I'd say getting some more bulk would help as your going to want things as comfy and soft as possible. When it's loose there is a lot of pressure. Metamucil is decent at adding bulk or just try and eat 2-3 apples a day and see if that helps.

Have you seen your doctor yet? If not I think it should be your first priority. You need to know if you have a.fissure or another problem. For example you may simply be sore down there as a result of ibs. I hope so. I have had ibs myself. But in any case the doctor will advise you how to proceed.
This must be very difficult for you. It's bad enough at my great age!
